To continue my drawing in Flash, I decided to so an experiment I had been planning for some time. Now, my drawing has a very stiff quality in my opinion and it really subtracts from it. I was positive that it lay in how I drew the base figures underneath final drawing. To see what I was doing wrong, I began to draw several base figures. I drew them in Flash, given how easy it is for me with the mouse and the brush tool.
I created a total of 50 figures (I believe) in 35 drawings. They are all stick figures pretty much (though more detailed than your Xiao Xiao) but I learned a good deal about weight, balance, the fluidity of a pose, and also different ways to do the same pose.
This project have me a huge boost in confidence - I was figuring out my problems and beginning to imporve while also getting more acquainted with drawing and coding in Flash (I have only had it for a month).
The drawings are presented in a Flash journal of sorts, another experiment of mine. You don't have to read, but the comments show the different things I learned.
